Gods Work. Our Hands.

It was a glorious day on Sunday, September 14th when 62 volunteers, ages 6 to 90, gathered together to fight hunger by packaging 15,000 meals with Rise Against Hunger. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of everyone. Special thanks to those who donated money, those who setup tables the night before, unloaded the truck early Sunday morning those who made soup, brought bread, made helping hand cookies (NORMA), carried heavy bags of rice and soy for refills, worked in packaging meals and sealed all the boxes and the cleanup crew who vacuumed up all the rice. Supplies cost the church $6,500 and we received $4,950 in generous donations to help offset the cost.

It takes a village to make a difference and Gloria Dei made a difference. Thanks be to God.
